F, #5936, (1802 - 1852)
FatherJohn Cordes (c 1775 - 1850)
MotherElizabeth Coxsey (c 1777 - 1829)
Rebecca Cordes appeared on the 1841 Census of Stepney, London, in the household of John Cordes.1      I formerly thought that Rebecca Cordes might be the widow of another son (other than Henry, that is) of John Cordes, possibly also called John. It now seems quite certain that Rebecca Cordes is actually a daughter of John and thus is a sister of Eliza, Ann, and Henry. Her age is consistent with the other "Sister" referred to in a letter (dated April 1848) from John to his son Henry. Rebecca Cordes appeared on the 1851 Census of Tower Hamlets, London, at 45 Baker Street, Stepney, enumerated 30 March 1851.2
Relationship
Great-grandaunt of John Greenwood Cordes
Rebecca Cordes was born on 19 September 1802 in Parish of St John Horselydown, Southwark, Surrey, England.3 She was baptized on 31 October 1802 in Parish of St John Horselydown, Southwark, Surrey, England.4 She died on 28 May 1852 in 19 Sidney Street, Stepney, Mile End Old Town, Middlesex, England, at age 49.5
